Global initiatives aimed at giving back to local communities
In addition to providing its customers with its line of sweet treats, Krispy Kreme also aims to give back to its community via sustainable business practices and various forms of engagement initiatives. For instance, schools, faith-based organizations and other community groups often raise funds through the sale of freshly made doughnuts. Over the past two years, Krispy Kreme has helped raise more than $55.0 million. The company also launched a partnership with a leading Saudi university to provide students with an opportunity to “learn and earn.” Free glazed doughnuts were also given to those who showed their COVID-19 inoculation card in 2021.
