HP Enterprise was selected in December 2021 by the US Department of Energy to construct a supercomputer for its National Renewable Energy Laboratory, which aims to accelerate discovery of renewable power. The Kestrel supercomputer will utilize the HPE Cray EX system to advance modeling, simulation, AI analytics to accelerate insights in renewable energy.
