Latest Installment in the Battlefield Franchise Fails to Deliver

At its latest internal meeting, Electronic Arts Inc. (EA) acknowledged the failure of Battlefield 2042, the latest installment of its Battlefield franchise. Laura Miele, the Chief Studios Officer, outright stated the company has misses and that the game failed to meet expectations. Miele noted the game engine as well as the pandemic as reasons. Furthermore, she went on to state that Halo Infinite, a competitor title by Microsoft Corporation (Microsoft), which was released around the same time, played a role. According to her, Halo Infinite was a polished title, unlike Battlefield 2042, which contained numerous bugs and glitches.
