It organizes its business into four segments: the U.S. Drilling segment, which operates land-based drilling rig fleets in the US, focusing on the major hydrocarbon basins across the Lower 48 market and Alaska as well as offshore in the Gulf of Mexico; the International Drilling segment, which operates land-based and offshore drilling rigs for the international oil and gas markets, primarily in the Middle East and Latin America, including Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Colombia, and Mexico; the Drilling Solutions segment, which offers specialized drilling technologies, such as proprietary drilling-bit steering systems and rig instrumentation software; and the Rig Technologies segment, which manufactures and sells top drives, catwalks, wrenches, drawworks and other drilling related equipment. It maintains its facilities in Houston, Texas; Anchorage, Alaska; Dubai, United Arab Emirates; Bogota, Colombia; Dhahran, Saudi Arabia; and Sandnes, Norway. The firm was incorporated in Bermuda on December 11, 2001. Its headquarters are located in Hamilton, Bermuda.
