Another Step towards Greener Pastures
In August 2021, Energy Transfer announced it had joined The Environmental Partnership, a coalition of almost 100 energy companies that are committed to improving environmental performance and sustainability. One of their goals is to use technology and practices to reduce emissions. Energy Transfer has been engaged in several projects to reduce its environmental footprint and increase the use of renewable energy. For example, it supported the development of the Maplewood 2 solar farm and installed 18,000 solar panels across the control to provide power to metering stations.
ESGIn response to volatile demand in the wake of the first COVID-19 surge, the company undertook a comprehensive cost reduction program, aimed at shoring up labor and supply costs.
