First electrified aerial ladder released
Rosenbauer became the first company to offer an electrified aerial ladder, doing so on its Volvo FE Electric vehicle models in October 2021. Rather than being powered by an internal combustion engine, its electric ladder has three electric motors; two of which power the traction drive and one of which controls the aerial ladder operation. The motors are powered by two or three 66kWh lithium-ion batteries. The batteries can be charged with AC from standard industrial power sockets
Balance SheetIn response to volatile demand in the wake of the first COVID-19 surge, the company undertook a comprehensive cost reduction program, aimed at shoring up labor and supply costs.
