Lamar Advertising Acquires Markets from Fairway Outdoor Advertising
In 2018, Lamar acquired five new markets from Fairway Outdoor Advertising for $418.5 million in cash. The markets consist of over 8,500 faces, including over 135 digital displays, in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Wisconsin. This acquisition bolstered Lamar’s revenue in 2018, in addition to its 5.0% organic sales growth in the 4th quarter, generating $1.6 billion at the end of the year. Furthermore, it expands Lamar’s portfolio and domestic footprint, allowing it to serve a wide variety of clients.
