About this Report

This report is intended to assist buyers of packing tape. Packing tape is pressure-sensitive tape used for sealing packages, and it is usually made with a polypropylene or polyester backing. Packing tape typically uses either an acrylic or rubber-based adhesive, and it is designed to be stronger than many other forms of tape because it must hold together packages and withstand the rigors of transportation. Suppliers include manufacturers and wholesalers. Retailers also provide these products; however, because many buyers purchase these items in large quantities, they primarily source them from manufacturers and wholesalers. This report does not include duct tape, masking tape or any other type of tape.
