Under standard conditions for temperature and pressure, noble gases are colorless and odorless with low chemical reactivity. Noble gases include radon, neon, argon, krypton, xenon and helium. Pure and elemental gases include hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, sulfur and bromine. A number of industrial processes require noble and elemental gases, including cryogenics, welding, lighting and process controls. These gases are available through manufacturers and wholesalers. This report excludes ammonia gas, industrial air, chlorinated mixed gases and carbon dioxide because they are considered industrial use gases.
