This month, we caught up with Jose Martinez, Chicago Market Lead at North Highland, to find out what’s going on in the management consulting world.
IBISWorld: What challenge(s) do you and your company or department face right now?
Jose Martinez: As a management consulting firm, our clients come to us for best practices and advice on how to get ahead of the competition. Keeping current on innovation and developing creative solutions unique to our clients’ needs can be a full-time commitment. Access to relevant information from which we can build the foundation for our recommendations is critical to our success.
IW: How does/might IBISWorld help you overcome this challenge?
JM: Through IBISWorld, I am able to gain insights on various industries and market segmentation data. Having the level of detail that IBISWorld compiles and makes available to firms like North Highland gives me more time to develop strategies that will help my clients.
IW: What do you foresee happening in your industry within the next year?
JM: The industry will continue to converge across subcategories. Clients are looking to simplify their list of consulting partners and pushing the incumbents to do more than their standard offerings.
IW: Tell us something interesting about yourself (hobbies, experiences, travel, etc.)
JM: To relax at the end of the day, I like to play a little piano and sometimes even take over the kitchen to put together a multi-course dinner. It’s my way of channeling my creative yearnings.
