Dr. Richard Buczynski is the executive responsible for IBISWorld’s commercial banking, financial and risk rating practice. Prior to joining IBISWorld Rick spent over 20 years with Nobel Laureate in Economics Professor Lawrence Klein’s team of researchers at Wharton Econometrics (WEFA) – affiliated at the time with the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton Business School. 

Buczynski received his BA, MA and Ph.D. degrees in Economics from the State University of New York. At the SUNY/Buffalo campus, he served as lecturer of economics, statistics and monetary theory in the late-1970s.

Kent Kirby
Senior Credit Policy Officer, Commerce Bank

Kent Kirby is the Senior Credit Policy Officer for Commerce Bank in Kansas City, Missouri. He is responsible for reviewing, providing credible challenge and establishing or updating policies and procedures used across the bank's various commercial lending platforms.  He also has primary responsibility for the assessment and management of emerging risks, including new product development, market expansion, and other innovations.   

Kirby has a BA from Southern Methodist University, AM from the University of Chicago and MBA from the University of Kansas.  He is currently a member of the Chief Financial Officer Committee of the Missouri Bankers Association and the Credit Risk Council of the Risk Management Association, an industry professional organization.
