Spirit levels
Spirit levels are the most commonly used type of leveling instruments, and account for an estimated 36.5% of the industry's revenue; they are commonly used by carpenters, builders and homeowners. Spirit levels are used to determine the straightness of vertical and horizontal lines. Also known as bubble levels, these instruments get their nickname from a bubble suspended in the liquid vials.
