The Aerial-Lift Truck Manufacturing industry experienced the full brunt of the economic downturn as construction activity plummeted and demand for related vehicles was dragged down simultaneously. Economic stimulus measures failed to support sufficient construction demand to raise the industry out of its slump. Moreover, as stimulus funds have dried up and state and local governments have limited spending on infrastructure and utilities construction, revenue recorded a minimal increase over 2011.
